As a result of 2 months of round-the-clock work, Spayka reconstructed the largest greenhouse complex in Armenia with an area of 5 hectares in accordance with the latest generation technologies where up to 5,000,000 seedlings will be grown. The company has a 50-ha greenhouse complex in Yerevan and a 55-ha one in Artashat, to which 5ha of the modern nursery was added.
To support the small and medium-sized greenhouses, the Government of RA implemented a program with the purpose to increase the area and production of greenhouses at the expense of state assistance for the construction of small and medium-sized greenhouses and their technological support, increasing the level of competitiveness of production and increasing the incomes of economic entities working in agriculture.
There are three options for the construction of greenhouses and their technological support:
Option 1: Tunnel greenhouse with an area of 300-600sq.m with single or double-layer polyethylene film and enriched ground, the cost of construction and technological support of which is estimated at 11,850AMD per square meter. Compensation for expenses is provided in the amount of 4,000AMD per square meter, and for citizens who have become disabled as a result of military service or combat operations during military service, economic entities, operating in border settlements receive social assistance by the Resolution of the Government of the RA 1444-N of December 18, 2014, to agricultural cooperatives, youth (18-35 years) 6,000AMD per square meter for economic activities in agriculture, higher and secondary vocational training institutions, and agricultural research and production organizations
Option 2: Greenhouse area of 800-3000 sq. m with single or multi-roll polyethylene film and enriched groundmass, the cost of construction and technological support of which is estimated at 24,550AMD per square meter. Compensation of 8,000AMD per square meter is provided, while for those with benefits under Option 1, the compensation is 12,000AMD per square meter.
Option 3: Greenhouse area of 800-3000 sq. m with one or multiple polyethylene film by hydroponic growing method, the cost of construction and technological support of which is estimated at 30,000AMD per square meter. Cost compensation is provided in the amount of 10,000AMD per square meter, while for those who have benefits under Option 1, the compensation is 15,000AMD per square meter.
