Asseco Group is one of the largest IT companies in Europe, engaged in the automation and development of IT solutions in the financial, telecommunications, medicine, energy, industry, and gas sectors worldwide. The largest partners of the holding are companies such as UniCredit, BSGV, Citibank, HSBC, Sberbank, BNP Paribas, Raiffeisenbank, VTB, Deutsche Bank, ING, KBC, Toyota, OTP, Intesa San Paolo and other companies.

Asseco Group is the main IT company of the EU-Asia Business Finance Center Holding, which has more than 60 companies operating in different countries. It has worked actively in Armenia but had no office here. And now the company opened an office in Yerevan. Asseco has plans to make significant changes in the financial sphere and invest largely in Armenia. The company will carry out modernization, digitalization, and telemedicine of banks and other financial institutions, as well as production of industrial robots which will be sold in the Eurasian market.

Over the past 10 years, the IT sector in Armenia has shown unprecedented growth, recording an average annual growth of 23%. Over the past two years, more than 20 start-up companies in Armenia have together received 700 million dollars of investment. Armenian start-ups are exempt from taxes on business, and the income tax for employees is 10%. According to 2021 data, the total turnover of IT companies operating in Armenia exceeded 1 billion dollars. As of 2021, the industry employs 29,000 professionals.
